Ambers Waves of Graves Anthology

Anthology Info
  • Title: Amber Waves of Graves
  • ​Editors: Lillie Evans, Tony Perona and Stephen Terrell
  • Theme: Rural settings, country graveyards and small-town life in Indiana can be beautiful. And deadly.
  • Number of stories in book will depend on the length of those accepted
  • To be released November 2023, self-published by the Chapter 

​Cover Submission Timeline

  • April 1, 2023: Submission deadline
  • April 30, 2023: Voting by chapter 

Cover Design Submission requirements

​We need three things submitted:
  1. The creative artwork separate from cover (so we can create advertising)
  2. Fonts files used on cover text
  3. Submitted Cover Image should include in one file: back cover, spine, front cover​​
What should be on front cover:
  • Text: Title: Ambers Waves of Graves
  • Text: Edited by Lillie Evans, Tony Perona and Stephen Terrell 
  • Text: A Speed City Writers Anthology
  • Text: Space for a tagline to be determined by editors​
  • ​Artwork
What to include on spine: (width needs to be flexible due to page count)
  • Text: Title: Ambers Waves of Graves
  • Text: Edited by Lillie Evans, Tony Perona and Stephen Terrell 
  • Logo mark in either black or white
What to include on back cover:
  • Text: Title: Ambers Waves of Graves
  • Text: Speed City Press

COLOR Requirements: All images in a cover file must be CMYK.
Image Resolution: Images should be greater than 200 ppi (resolutions lower are too low for print quality).

Speed City Sisters in Crime is the Indiana chapter of the world-wide mystery/crime writers' association Sisters in Crime. The Speed City chapter was founded in 2005.

Members of the organization are published mystery and crime authors, writers working on mysteries and thrillers, and readers and fans of the literary genre. There are currently 40+ members who live in Indiana or the Midwest.

Speed City Sisters in Crime hosts monthly meetings with speakers on topics of interest to mystery and crime writing. Past speakers have included police officers, prosecutors, investigative reporters, forensic specialists, weapons experts, researchers, and publishing and media professionals.
