The Doris Ann Norris We Love Libraries Grant is presented monthly to libraries by Sisters in Crime to use for the purchase of books. Speed City Indiana Sisters in Crime will present the Library with a check on behalf of our National organization in November after their regular meeting. There will be a book signing and 1 hour panel.

Stephen Terrell is a lawyer with Terrell Law Office in Indianapolis, where he practices in a wide variety of areas, including First Amendment law, defamation, and intellectual property litigation, and writes a blog “Law for Writers.” He is the author of numerous articles for legal journals and a frequent speaker at legal conferences. Steve is the author of two legal thrillers, Stars Fall and The First Rule, and several short stories in
the Speed City Sisters in Crime anthologies The Fine Art of Murder and Homicide for the Holidays. He is an avid motorcyclist.
Ross Carley has served as a military intelligence officer, an engineering professor, and the CTO of a defense contractor. He is the author or co-author of four books in the computational intelligence area (published under his “real” name). His novels feature Wolf Ruger, an Iraq vet with PTSD, who is a private investigator specializing in cybercrime. Wolf solves murders and cybercrimes, undeterred by beautiful women and organized crime. Ross belongs to the Indianapolis Chapter of Sisters in Crime. He and his wife Francie split their time between Indianapolis, IN, and Fort Walton Beach, FL. He enjoys the beach, and believes that the white sands in Fort Walton Beach are unrivaled for beauty.
C. A. Paddock (Carol) wrote her first mystery, Mystery Adventure of Jimmy Hashburger, as a first grader. Although it was never published, the story was featured during the classroom reading hour. Two of her short stories have been published in Speed City Indiana Sisters in Crimes anthologies: “The Making of a Masterpiece” in The Fine Art of Murder and “Into the Light Darkness Fall” in Homicide for the Holidays. Carol
holds a BA in Speech and Spanish from Butler University and a certificate in Translation Studies from Indiana University. She has worked in communications, event management, and leadership development for corporations and nonprofits.
Tony Perona is the father half of the Elizabeth Perona father/daughter writing team, the other half being his daughter Liz Dombrosky. Together they write the “Bucket List” mystery series. Separately, Tony is the author of the Nick Bertetto mystery series, the standalone thriller The Final Mayan Prophecy, and co-editor of the anthologies Racing Can Be Murder and Hoosier Hoops & Hijinks. Tony is a longtime member of Sisters in Crime. Tony is also a member of Mystery Writers of America (MWA), where he has served as vice president and president of the Midwest chapter. Nationally he has served MWA as an at-large member of the national board and as the national treasurer. He lives in Plainfield, Indiana, where he recently retired as the Deputy Town Manager.
JANIS THORNTON is an Indiana-based writer of history and mystery. Her works include the newly released romantic-suspense novel, “Love, Lies and Azure Eyes”; a true crime book, “Too Good a Girl”; three pictorial-history books in the “Images of America” series: Tipton County, Frankfort and Elwood. She also has written two cozy mysteries, "Dust Bunnies & Dead Bodies" and its sequel "Dead Air and Double Dare.” And coming next year is “No Place Like Murder,” a collection of 20 historic true crime stories that rocked Indiana from 1869 through 1950. Janis is a member of Sisters in Crime, the Author's Guild, the Indiana Writers Center, and the historical societies of Tipton and Clinton Counties. B.K.’s short stories have been published in mystery anthologies with Speed City Sisters In Crime and in several independent horror anthologies. Her comedy based on the Indianapolis Real Estate market is titled “It’s for Sale – A Suzanne Pepper Tale”. B.K. currently resides in Indiana.
